[Lamongan – January 1, 2025] As part of strengthening practical skills and exploring business opportunities based on health and beauty products, students of the Entrepreneurship Study Program at the University of Muhammadiyah Lamongan (UMLA) conducted a peel-off mask-making workshop on January 1, 2025, at the UMLA integrated laboratory.

This workshop aimed to develop students' potential in creating products with economic value and in line with market trends, particularly in the fields of herbal cosmetics and facial care. The workshop involved collaboration across study programs, with direct support from lecturers and experts from the UMLA Pharmacy Study Program.

During the workshop, students learned the process of making safe, natural-based masks, including ingredient mixing techniques, packaging, and basic principles of hygiene and safety for homemade cosmetic products. They were also provided with an understanding of the business potential of peel-off masks, which have a broad market segment among teenagers and young adults.

"This activity aims to ensure students not only understand business theory but also develop products that are ready for marketing. With guidance from the pharmaceutical team, we ensure that product safety and effectiveness remain a priority," said Mega, a lecturer from the Entrepreneurship Study Program. In addition to technical practice, students are also invited to discuss branding strategies, digital product marketing, and simulate the calculation of the cost of goods manufactured (COGS) as part of the entrepreneurial process.

Through this activity, the UMLA Entrepreneurship Study Program continues to encourage students to develop innovative and commercially valuable products that are not only relevant to market needs but also have the potential to become real businesses after graduation. [Kwu-Red]
