[Mojokerto, November 7, 2023] — The Entrepreneurship Study Program at the University of Muhammadiyah Lamongan (UMLA) successfully held its Student Enhancement Program (SEP) Batch 1 on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. This activity took place at one of the local creative industry centers, Mojopahit Chocolate, located in Mojokerto Regency, East Java.

Themed "Entrepreneurial Success for Beginners," this activity aimed to enrich students' insights and experiences in the world of entrepreneurship directly through field practice and interactive dialogues with business owners.

The first batch of UMLA Entrepreneurship Study Program students participated in this activity. Participants had the opportunity to listen to inspiring presentations from local entrepreneurs, observe the chocolate production process from upstream to downstream, and learn about the marketing strategies and business management of MSMEs that have successfully penetrated the national market.

In his remarks, the Head of the UMLA Entrepreneurship Study Program stated that this activity is part of a student development program designed to equip them with practical skills and prepare them for the business world.

"Students are not only required to understand theory, but also need to see and experience firsthand how a business is run, its challenges, and strategies for survival and growth," he said.

Meanwhile, the management of Cokelat Mojopahit welcomed the visit as a positive collaboration between education and industry. They hope this type of activity will motivate the younger generation to dare to start businesses at an early age and create new jobs. Through this SEP activity, students are expected to not only gain additional knowledge but also be motivated to start designing their own businesses while still in college.

This Student Enhancement Program will become a regular event of the UMLA Entrepreneurship Study Program as a commitment to producing graduates who are resilient, creative, and adaptable in the business world. [Kwu-Red]
